The first time when you moved in an apartment with a roommate you imagined your life to be a rollercoaster ride. But the constant irritating habits of your roommate and the delays in paying his or her portion of rent have brought you to the situation of looking for new house for rent in Chennai.

It is like breaking a relationship
Do you know moving out to a new apartment without your current roommate is more or less like a relationship breakup or even worse than that? You have stayed for some time with this individual and shared your life experiences. Your roommate might adore you and depend on you for lot of things. But often due to circumstances and conflicts you have to make a stern decision of separating out.

Confronting your roommate in such situations is not easy
Is your roommate too emotional and get depressed to ever little fights and conflicting situations? If this is the scenario, it will be a really challenging and tough time for you to confront your roommate and tell him or her about your decision of leaving the apartment and moving out to some other place and may be sharing with some new roommates. What will be his reaction? Can he or she take or be depressed?

How can you tell your roommate you are moving out?
Don’t take the easy means of texting or sending an e-mail. Avoid doing such things and be strong enough to look into your roommate’s eyes and straightaway tell him or her that you are leaving the house and moving out to a new place.

Even if it is your roommate’s irritating and bugging behavior that is forcing you to take such a big step, make sure you don’t put the blame on him or her. Rather you must be polite and decent enough to place the reason that you are moving out for your own convenience and requirement.

It is better to tell your roommate about your relocating at least a month in advance so that he or she gets the time to find a suitable roommate. In case you want to be helpful or generous you can help him or her find one as well.

Dig on the good times that you two had while staying together and sharing the apartment for the specific amount of time period. Don’t get into conflict over the investments you both have shared. Sit down with cool heads and discuss of the things and divide them equally.

Just because you don’t stay together doesn’t mean that you cannot be friends and act as stranger. You can always stay in touch and be friends and help each whenever required.

These are some of the ways in which you can tell your roommate that you are moving for and shifting to a new rental house accomodation in Chennai.
